Receiver App

Video: https://www.dropbox.com/s/t6ua420ab018vti/DNOW_iOS_Chromecast_Receiver-Capture.MP4?dl=0

Timestamp 00:20: Launch DNOW, Cast to Chromecast - Nothing Casting. Receiver is red DNOW logo screen while nothing is being casted

Timestamp 00:33: When starting to cast, current Receiver displays a lower third with metadata and player progress bar with DNOW logo.

  • This lower third also displays when video is paused.
  • Lower third disappears after a few seconds.

Timestamp: 00:42: When an ad is playing, lower third displays “Ad N of N” and “Video resumes in N seconds”

Timestamp 01:41: When scrubbing from sender app, receiver app displays a lower third overlay with the scrub bar and time stamps.

Timestamp 01:52: When scrubbing from sender app, the receiver app displays the lower third again as the video jumps to the point in time that the user scrubs to IF the lower third did not disappear in time before user scrubs.

Screenshot: When sender app pauses content, the receiver app displays a small pause icon in the lower left.

Missing Idle Screens (prevents screen burn): When nothing is casting for a prolonged amount of time, the receiver currently does not have idle screens. Red DNOW background stays up.

Sender app volume control — Currently, when using volume controls on iOS when casting, it does not affect the volume of the receiver device. The UI does not shift as well as volume is changed up/down. (See separate video)

Buffering (screenshot) - Only the small default buffering circle appears over a black screen in middle of the lower third.
