Attendees: Julia Brown, Dave Sohnchen, Jacquie Armstrong, Katie Ross
We discussed:
- We are confident that if we charged $2 or less per engaged session, the bot would have an ROI for our partners. The less we charge, the greater the ROI.
- We ballparked that eventually, the bot should be covering around 250k/year
- It would be great if the bot covered at least 100k in FY21
- How much risk do we take on when charging per session?
- Would our partners be willing to take on the risk of a fixed cost?
- There are not any savings for already using GX for support.
After JA left, we discussed
- The possibility of starting with (maybe two quarters) of price per session, and then agreeing on a fixed price per FQ going forward.
- Julia recommends defining a session the same way competitors do. I.e., if they are charging for every engaged session (no matter if it reaches a “helpful” intent or not), then so should we. This allows us to have more of an apples-to-apples comparison in costs. (Learn from GX mistakes with being too honest with price per hour.)
Next steps:
- Determine more accurate numbers for “cost of bot” -??Jacquie w/ Dave (and maybe Iris?)??
- Have a pricing structure ready for DATG and MA by FY21 planning (Spring)
